Denver Pioneers Hockey 2025-26 Season Overview
The University of Denver hockey program has unveiled its complete schedule for the 2025-26 season, featuring 35 games, including the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game against the University of Minnesota. This marks the third time Denver has hosted this event, which will take place at Ball Arena over Thanksgiving Weekend. The Pioneers are also set to host the NCAA West Regionals in Loveland, Colorado, marking their fourth time in seven years.
The season kicks off with an exhibition against UNLV on October 4, followed by the official opener against the Air Force Falcons on October 10. Denver will play a total of 11 non-conference games, with notable matchups against Boston College and Maine. The Pioneers will begin their National Collegiate Hockey Conference slate on November 7 against Western Michigan.
Denver's schedule includes a mix of home and away games, with a significant road presence early in the season. The NCHC tournament will feature a new format this year, with matches hosted by the higher seed. The season culminates with the NCAA Frozen Four in Las Vegas in April 2026.
